As a Building Control Surveyor Frank has dealt with all forms of buildings including: domestic alterations and extensions, change of use, sheltered housing, hospitals, Crown premises, hotel developments, major office developments, supermarkets and educational buildings.
Review drawings for compliance with the building regulations for individual clients prior to them submitting to their Building Control Body, or for Building Control Bodies to assist in providing their service.
Provision of site inspection services to Building Control Bodies to help them deliver their service for building regulation compliance.
We can carry out a fire risk assessment of your premises to identify any defects in relation to fire safety matters and any changes that may be required to fulfil your duties under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
We can carry out an access audit of your premises to identify any changes that may be required to enable you to meet your duties under The Equality Act 2010.
Frank has over 40 years experience in the Building Control Sector. He began his career in building control with local authorities in East Anglia and Hertfordshire.
During this time he gained his professional qualifications followed by a Batchelor of Engineering with Honours in Fire Engineering.He then had seven years of self-employment working in the building control sector through agencies and then directly for an Approved Inspector and a number of local authorities.
For nineteen years Frank was a director for an Approved inspector. Following the sale of this company in 2017 and the end of his service agreement Frank set out to begin his own consultancy with Frank Robinson Building Regulation Consultancy Limited being founded in 2019.
Frank applies a proactive approach to work and is willing to look at alternative solutions to achieve compliance with the building regulations.
